Power to Choose!
Grade1 kick-started the academic journey by inquiring into making choices and the impact of these choices, on us. Students understood the concept of making responsible choices by reading stories and making connections with their personal lives.
They analyzed the impact of personal choices that contribute towards shaping our lifestyle and the consequences they have in our individual life.
Students reflected on their experiences with anecdotes like, “I did not make a responsible choice because I had ice-cream and soft drinks on the same day. It made me sick”. Also, some students spoke about the responsible choices they made like, “I helped my mother to take care of my granny. I felt happy and my mother got some extra time to herself.”
Grade 1 students now believe that all people are SUPERHEROES as they have the power to choose and our choices have the power to change our day in either a negative or a positive way.
