Ms. Uzma Malkani – PYP Early Years Programme Coordinator

Ms. Uzma is a member of the founding staff at Edubridge International School. She obtained a postgraduate degree in advertising, and then pursued her dream of becoming an Early Childhood Educator. After completing teacher training at St. Xavier’s Institute of Education in Mumbai, she worked as a Playgroup, Nursery and Junior Kindergarten teacher at EIS. Now an experienced PYP educator and homeroom teacher, she uses her inherent creativity when engaging students. She understands that young children are natural inquirers who learn best when immersed in a variety of learning environments – both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, she links classroom activities with aspects of her students’ personal lives – and uses their interests and questions as resources – to make their learning experiences captivating and meaningful. As a programme coordinator, she leads by example – mentoring colleagues, serving on committees, and facilitating a good number of co-curricular activities such as Sports Day, Annual Day and other cultural celebrations. She abides by the motto, ‘I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.’

Ms Chantelle Ferns – PYP Coordinator

Ms Chantelle Olive Ferns is the PYP Coordinator and the Grade 5 homeroom teacher here at Edubridge International School. She has completed her graduation from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai with her major in Political Science. Her passion for teaching led her to pursue her teaching degree, thereafter taking her career forward here at EIS. Chantelle has been a part of the evaluation process and has attended and participated in different IB PYP workshops that has strengthened her knowledge and understanding of the programme. She has also led non- IB workshops to enrich teaching and learning. She believes that students need to have voice, choice and ownership in their everyday learning. Year after year her passion has developed in the ecosystem of Edubridge which has enabled her to be more dynamic and dedicated in the academic front. As a PYP Coordinator, she recognizes the vital role of every member and contributes with her creativity, work ethics and collaboration with the teacher and student body to create a positive and enriching environment. She lives by “Starting each day with gratitude is a sign for one’s love for what they do which motivates and encourages not only them but everyone around to be HAPPY HUMANS”

Ms.Radha Trivady – MYP Coordinator & Head of Curriculum

Ms.Radha has been a Middle Years Programme teacher and leader for over 16 years. Prior to that, she worked at the International School of Conakry, Guinea and the International School of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, which followed an American curriculum. She has experience teaching IGCSE History and Geography and MYP Integrated Humanities. She is part of the School Visiting Team of the Asia-Pacific region as Team Leader and Team Member of the IBO for the Asia-Pacific region and has visited schools in India and Asia for authorisation and evaluation. She is also a Programme Leader and Evaluation Leader for the new Programme Standards and Practices 2020. She authors MYP e-assessment papers and is an MYP Examiner for e-assessment. She is the MYP Network Co-Chair for South Asia. She has been recently appointed as a Consultant by the IB. During her career, she has held several other roles like MYP Personal Project Coordinator, DP CAS Coordinator and MYP Service Coordinator. Her CAS and Service projects have been featured in IB blogs and IBO World Magazine. She says, “Teaching is my passion and my stress buster – I always look forward to being with my students in the classroom”.

Ms. Mansi Gandhi – Assistant MYP Coordinator, Head of Science Department and MYP Science teacher.

She completed her postgraduate education from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. She has worked in many roles at Edubridge such as Personal Project Coordinator, ATL Coordinator, Professional Learning Coordinator and DP ESS teacher. She is an IBDP ESS Examiner. She is a former visiting faculty member at the Department of Biotechnology at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, where she taught postgraduate students. Prior to teaching, she worked in the field of pharmaceutical research and development. She is passionate about the application of technology in education and has worked as a part-time consultant with Faria Education Group, and created educational content for Toddle and Kognity.

Ms. Shivani Patel – PYP Homeroom Teacher & CIS Coordinator

This is my 4th year at EIS. I have been teaching for the past 18 years and am falling in love with it more as each year goes by. My passion has been in creating stories through various different mediums and expressions to help children spark curiosity. Besides teaching I am a fitness freak and my workouts keep my mind and soul balanced for me to stay strong and happy. I believe that every individual can achieve their full potential if motivated in their own unique ways and moreover when we believe in them.

Ms. Tracy Waller – DP Coordinator

Having joined our school in 2015, Tracy Waller has wholeheartedly explored and embraced her roles as an educator, facilitator and mentor with a strong focus on English Language and Literature. She earned her teaching credentials through a Master of Arts Degree in English Literature from the University of Mumbai and a Bachelor of Education. Tracy has been a part of the school’s IB Authorisation, Evaluation and 5 year Review, and has engaged in a variety of IB workshops that have strengthened her professional skills and teaching methodologies. She has experience as a language and literature Examiner, Personal Project Coordinator and the Head of Department for English. She has also facilitated sessions at SAIBSA, led online conferences and conducted collaborative learning sessions for like minded IB educators to showcase meaningful classroom engagement and creative teaching strategies. Tracy empowers students, encouraging them to set goals, stay motivated and take risks in pursuit of personal and academic growth, independence and varied success. She believes that professional growth is mirrored in sharing resources and working collaboratively.

Mr. Subodh Anand – Campus Manager

Mr. Anand is a founding member and absolute cornerstone of Edubridge International School. With a Master’s degree in Business administration, and more than 36-years experience across the Corporate and Education sectors, he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise from the fields of Marketing, General Administration and Senior Management. Although he works primarily behind the scenes, our school simply couldn’t function without the many services he provides. In fact, he’s probably the busiest employee on campus, overseeing purchasing, finance, operations, aspects of human resources, transport, maintenance, and much more. In short, he keeps the school safe and running. It’s a demanding job to say the least, and he does it all for the good of the children.

Ms. Anjali Castelino – Nurse, Health, Safety & Child Protection Officer

Ms. Anjali ensures the health, safety and wellbeing of all students and staff in our school. Her responsibilities include: first aid, medical care, child protection, health curriculum, risk assessment, safety inspections, and emergency preparedness. A gold medalist, she holds a General Nursing and Midwifery Diploma (GNM), which is the equivalent of being a Registered Nurse (RN). She worked in the hospital setting for more than ten years, as a clinical teaching faculty member and a senior nurse in the pediatric ICU of Hinduja Hospital. She loves working with children, and now has eleven-years experience in international schools. Since joining Edubridge in 2013, she has managed our Medical Centre (infirmary) and various aspects of operations. She contributes to our school’s operations and sustainability. And, above all, she is a kind, caring and dedicated school leader who promotes student learning, wellbeing and a school culture that is founded on trust and respect.
